The Career Guidance Unit of the Open University launched a specialized short course in Essential Soft Skills for Workplace Success for the first time on last Friday the 21st January 2011 |

Recognizing the Private sector concern about finding well rounded individuals to suit its workforce requirement and to equip school leaves and young individuals who are aspiring to enter the world of work with required soft skills this short course was designed to bridge the Skills gap among the young individuals and to lay strong foundation for them to enter the local & International employment market with greater confiden
Dr. Mahim Mendis delivered vibrant speech as the Guest of Honour and he emphasised on extreme importance of soft skills enhancement within young individuals in present day world of work.
Eighteen Teacher Career Guidance Counsellor along with other learner registered for this timely course. Dean Faculty of Education Prof(Ms)G.D Lekamge, Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology Prof W.A. Wimalaweera, Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences Dr. Gaya Ranawaka and Director CERC Dr. Chatura Herath occupied the held table at the Inauguration ceremony.
