This Programme is developed by the Department of Secondary and Tertiary Education with the aim of providing opportunities for those who have the Higher Diploma in Drama and Theatre of the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation to join the teaching profession. In the long run, those who complete the Diploma in Teaching (Aesthetic subjects) from the Colleges of Education can also be given the opportunity to enroll in the programme with minor modifications to the syllabus. Target GroupThose who satisfactorily complete the Higher Diploma (Drama and Theatre) of the Drama and Theatre School in the Tower Hall Theater Foundation and wish to improve their competencies related to education. Objectives of the ProgrammeThe main objectives of the programme are: 1. to provide opportunities for higher education for those who are qualified to enter but do not get a place in conventional universities, and 2. to provide opportunities to develop competencies to become an effective Drama and Theatre teacher. Entry QualificationsPass with Higher Diploma in Drama and Theatre of the Drama and Theatre School in the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation. Programme StructureThe Programme consists of two levels; Level 5 & Level 6.
