| The Faculty of Engineering Technology of the Open University of Sri Lanka is one of the pioneers, among all academic institutions in the world, in the delivery of Open and Distance Learning courses in Engineering. The Faculty consists of six academic departments. The faculty offers two major study programmes namely Technology (Engineering), and Industrial Studies in various specilzations using Open and Distance Learning methodolgy. The Study Programmes lead to the awards of Certificates, Advanced Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelors Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters Degrees. |
The faculty also has a multi-disciplinary Engineering Research Unit (ERU) dedicated to enahance research in the faculty and to provide forum for discussion of matters pertaining to engineering research. The faculty also actively participates in work of the Rural Research Unit (RRU) of the University. |
