The Diploma programme is ideal for industrial workers or technical grades in Agriculture. The programme may also appeal to school leavers who have passed G.C. E. (A/L) with minimum three (03) passes among the subjects, of biology (or Botany & Zoology), Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture and Combined Maths ( Pure or Applied Mathematics) including the subjects Biology or Botany. Currently the Department of Agricultural & Plantation Engineering Technology offers two types of Diploma programmes:
Diploma in Industrial studies (Agriculture)
Diploma in Technology in Agricultural Engineering
Student who do not have any formal educational qualifications may enter the programme through the courses offered levels 1 and 2 of foundation cources in relevant discipline. The minimum duration of the Diploma Programme is two years and the medium of instruction is English.
