Bachelor Degree Research

 The staff of the Department is involved either as advisors or as collaborators in problem oriented research projects, some of which are undertaken with other institutes, universities and with local research organizations.

 Most of the Department’s research comes under the programs of the Bachelor Degree Research, with the following themes:

  • Crop Science
  • Soil, Water Engineering & Climate change
  • Plant Biology
  • Food Technology
  • Social Research

The Department assesses the student progress in two progress sessions at scheduled intervals to improve the skill in presentation and report writing. For detail information contact  coordinators of Bachelor of Industrial Studies and Technology in Agricultural Engineering respectively.

 

M. Phil. Research

Currently, the Department of Agricultural Plantation & Engineering conducts a research under this category with the guidance & supervision of Prof. C. S. De Silva, Professor in Agricultural Plantation & Engineering.

Ph.D Research

  • Title:  Shallow Ground Water Resource assessment in limestone aquifer.  A case study in Thinunelvely and Kondavil in Jaffna district.
