The Bachelor of Technology (Engineering) is designed carefully specifying, minimum and maximum limits for each category of courses, to ensure that the programme is balanced and that it meets the requirements of major Engineering Institutions, both in Sri Lanka and overseas.
The Degree will be awarded with a specialisation in one of the following areas:
Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) Bachelor of Technology (Mechatronics Engineering) Programme Duration: 5 years Medium of Instruction: English
The department expects a student who has been awarded the Bachelor of Technology (Engineering) degree to be:
Able to develop creative and analytical ability and innovative thinking in Engineering Address social, environmental and economic issues related to Engineering Access and utilize Engineering knowledge to the benefit of the society
The courses selected for the award of the Bachelor of Technology shall be so as to meet the minimum requirements in each category as shown below.
