Following are the main activities of the IQAU.

Through linking with QA committees of faculties, CETMe and the Administrative divisions coordinate and monitor all QA related activities within OUSL. These include:

      • Facilitate QA reviews and facilitate implementing follow up action
      • Guide and monitor faculty/university level QA activities
      • Identify and share good practices across departments and divisions
      • Prepare/amend guidelines on QA for OUSL
      • Provide advice on QA to faculties and departments

Commonwealth of Learning Review and Implementation (COL RIM)

Commonwealth of Learning Review and Implementation (COL RIM) Model was implemented in 2010 – 2011.

      • COL-RIM is a system thinking model meaning that all parts of the model interrelate to create one picture of the system that is the institution
      • Focuses on performance (outcomes), continuous improvement and includes capacity building and developmental support of staff
      • Combines internal and external QA in a low-cost ‘do-it-yourself’ approach which does not require a panel of external experts
