  • Diploma in Industrial Studies

    Diploma in Industrial studies study programme is conducted by the Faculty of Engineering Technology as the first phase of Bachelor of Industrial Studies degree programme. After following the Diploma in Industrial Studies Programme the students could exit with the Diploma Certificate or proceed to the Bachelor of Industrial Studies degree programme. The entry qualification for this Study Programme is the passing of three subjects at G.C.E. (A/L) Examination- Sri Lanka or equivalent. The subjects required to be passed vary with the specialization. (See under Admission for details) The minimum duration of the programme is two academic years. For those who have higher qualifications can obtain exemptions from certain courses and could complete the diploma in one year. (See under Further Details, for accepted qualifications for which exemptions could be claimed) The Programme is offered in the specializations of Agriculture, Apparel production and management, Fashion design and product development, and Textile manufacture.

    Diploma in Technology - Computer Engineering is offered to students who complete the level 3 and level 4 of the Bachelor of Technology degree programme. The diploma aims to produce personal who are qualified to occupy middle level technical and management positions in the hardware and software engineering fields. These students are trained in practical skills along with theoretical subject knowledge.

    Diploma in Technology - Computer Engineering opens up avenues of education as well as higher carrier progression.
