Ms Vindhya Jayasena assumed duties recently as the new Registrar of the Open University of Sri Lanka. 

Ms Jayasena who commands considerable experience in University activities, earlier functioned as the Deputy Registrar of the Postgraduate Institute of Archaeology of the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, prior to her appointment as the Registrar of the OUSL. 

She had her education at Gankanda MMV, Pelmadulla and Fergusons Girls’ High School, Ratnapura and graduated from the University of Ruhuna with a Second Class (Upper) degree. 

 Following graduation, she obtained a Diploma in Personnel Management from the National Institute of Business Management and a Diploma in Advanced English for Administration and Academic Purposes from the University of Colombo. 

She successfully followed a Postgraduate study course at the OUSL obtaining the Commonwealth Executive MBA degree.
