OUSL IMPACTO 2024

Robotics Challenge for Innovators

IMPACTO 2023 Robotics Game Competition

The aim of the "OUSL IMPACTO 24," organized by students of the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL), is to inspire, engage, and empower participants to explore the fascinating world of robotics, while fostering collaboration, creativity, and technical expertise. By providing a platform for students to showcase their robotic creations, the competition aims to cultivate a culture of innovation and excellence within the realm of robotics and technology.

The OUSL IMPACTO Challenge encourages participants to design and build innovative robots that address specific challenges, pushing the boundaries of creativity and engineering design.

Through practical application of theoretical knowledge, participants gain hands-on experience in designing, assembling, and programming robots, bridging the gap between theory and real- world implementation.

The competition promotes interdisciplinary collaboration by inviting students from various fields to collaborate, fostering a holistic approach to problem-solving and innovation.

FollowBot Challenge

The school category challenge involves the development of a robot that follows lines with the capability of counting objects by color. In the FOLLOWBOT Challenge, participants will get the chance to design, build, and program your very own line-following robot. They will step into the shoes of an engineer and a programmer as they work to make their robot understand and interpret the cues from the line on the ground.

FOLLOWBOT Challenge task is to design and implement a line-following robot capable of navigating a predefined track autonomously by following a visible line while overcoming various challenges.
